Concert for Conservations: Our World in Sound

Union Baptist Church, Mystic, CT

The 9th annual Concert for Conservation benefit for the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 24, in Mystic’s Union Baptist Church. The musicians will bring back old favorites from past performances for "Our World in Sound," music inspired by the natural world. The concert is part of the Nature Center’s Celebrate 70 series of anniversary events.

Led by violinist Hilary Castle, the event features pianist Raymond Wong in addition to special appearances by vocalist Nora Fox, guitarist Geoff Green and Tom Castle (piano/guitar). Featured works by Dvorak, Vivaldi, Beethoven and more.

Castle, who resides in New York, recently founded Silver Birch Music, a music collaborative based in New York City dedicated to performing a diverse range of chamber music and offering a music education program to students from all walks of life. Performing in venues from classrooms to concert halls, Silver Birch Music is committed to bringing music to audiences of all ages.
